New Year's Resolutions
I set and hope to accomplish a handful of resolutions in 2011. This is the first time I can remember doing so. My fave by far is the goal to bake something really delicious during each of the 12 months. hitrecordjoe: (new orleans time) Brick Shit House.  We don’t remember exactly why we started calling it that.  1:11, 2:22, 3:33, 4:44 and 5:55 could all be called Brick Shit House.  And 11:11 was a Full Brick Shit House. I’m all about winter squash - particularly butternut. Tonight, I peeled, chopped and coated (o/o, s & p) my BNS and roasted it (along with some red onion and broccoli) at 425 for ~30 minutes. In the meantime, I combined 1/2c dry quinoa (rinsed first) with 1c water. Once all of the quinoa’s water was absorbed, I stirred in a scoop of goat cheese and a few tears of fresh basil. Next...
